Senator Fetterman Returns to Capitol Hill after Hospitalization

Minority Leader McConnell also returned to Senate this week.

Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania returned to the Senate after his hospitalization in mid-February. He had checked himself in to be treated for clinical depression and expressed his gratitude for the “life-changing” treatment he received from his medical team.

“It’s great to be back. Thank you,” he stated. His colleagues received him in the Senate chamber with a round of applause.

Senator Fetterman was one of three Senators sidelined for medical reasons early this year. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell also returned to the chamber on Monday after having a concussion from a fall. Senator Dianne Feinstein continues to remain under the close watch of her doctors as she recovers from a bout of shingles she contracted in February.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • With gratitude that Senators Fetterman and McConnell have recovered sufficiently to return to serve in the upper chamber.
  • For Senator Feinstein’s health and for wisdom for her doctors.
  • For Majority Leader Schumer as he considers a replacement for Senator Feinstein on the Senate Judiciary Committee.
